The Show

Modern Parlor Magic starring David Carlo is an immersive experience based on a true story told through magic and music. It’s an intimate evening of magic, mentalism and theater reminiscent of the Victorian era shows set in homes in New York, London and Paris. The live show is hosted at the iconic Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown
Los Angeles.   The production will be announcing its 2023 schedule in the new year.

The historic venue has played host to the Academy Awards, visiting U.S Presidents and celebrations with Hollywood royalty on its hallowed grounds. The critically acclaimed
live show is set inside one of the hotel’s beautiful private event spaces which has been reimagined into a stylish turn of the century parlor room. This includes extensive  
lighting and stage upgrades to emulate a theater style setting.  

David Carlo astonishes with miraculous illusions, close-up mysteries, powerful mind reading and even his version of the classic, deadly bullet catch.  He is accompanied by “Solitary Science” a celebrated multi-instrumentalist, composer, and electronic musician.  

Along the way, the exuberant storyteller transports the audience to the turn of the 20th century in an Upper Eastside, New York City apartment, where an extraordinary magic show occurred in 1895.

David Carlo’s exclusive engagements are limited in seating to ensure an intimate experience. Interactive participation by all audience members is the key ingredient for making each show unique and special.  Cocktail attire is encouraged for this elegant evening of entertainment.

About David Carlo

DAVID CARLO is the creator and star of the critically acclaimed “Modern Parlor Magic" show which has secured along-term residency at the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Carlo is one of the most respected minds and performers in magic, business and entertainment industry.

He served as an Executive Producer of the ground-breaking TV series “MINDFREAK,” the most successful and longest running primetime magic series in television history. He works closely with Criss Angel on his spectacular, groundbreaking Las Vegas stage shows as well as serving as executive producer on the CW Network’s new TV series “Magic with the Stars” debuting this fall.

Carlo is also an award-winning film director and writer. But what he loves most is performing for an intimate audience and sharing joyful experiences through magic.

About Michael Gadsby

Artist "SOLITARY SCIENCE" (aka Michael Gadsby) is a multi instrumentalist, composer, and live performance electronic musician who has been playing music since the fourth grade.

The talented performer has been featured on Bass, Guitar and Gimbri for numerous Reggae, Funk, Soul, World music, and experimental projects in Los Angeles for over a decade.

He also is an accomplished composer for film and digital content, celebrated for his specialized ambient jazz themes.

Is it COVID secure and safe?

The experience is designed to be COVID safe. All performers and production staff are fully vaccinated and tested regularly. Masks for guests are optional at this time per LA County guidelines.

How long does the experience last?

The show will last approximately 90 minutes.

Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?

Yes, The event will be held in an indoor venue.

Is there parking available?

Self parking at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel garage is available as well as parking at the Perishing Square lot located across the street from the hotel.  

Is there an age restriction?

Ages 12 and up are welcome to join.

Only services animals are allowed

What happens if I arrive late?

We cannot guarantee entry once the show has started but will try to seat you if it does not disrupt the show.  Guests are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy a cocktail at the hotel speak easy bar

Do I need to wear a mask?

Masks are optional at this time per LA County guidelines. All of our performers and staff are fully vaccinated.

Will restrooms be available on site?

Restrooms are available on site at the venue

Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?

Guests arriving early can grab a cocktail or lite bites at the Gallery Bar on the lobby level. No food or drink is allowed inside the performance room.

I can't find my ticket. What can I do?

You can find your ticket with the QR code in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have it installed, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us.

What are the official sellers for this experience?

Official tickets for Modern Parlor Magic Show can only be purchased on Fever. Tickets are not available on any other website or ticketing platform.

Can I reschedule my tickets to another date/time, or upgrade/downgrade my ticket?

We may be able to help reschedule or exchange your ticket for another date, time or ticket type that has not already sold out. Please contact us for more information. Make sure to include your ticket order number.

Can I transfer my tickets to another person?

Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket on the Fever App. Please contact us for additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No, your contactless tickets will be validated directly in the Fever App.

Are refunds allowed? What is the exchange policy?

Tickets are generally non-refundable. Ticket non-refund terms and conditions are agreed to before purchase. However, under special circumstances, you can contact us and our User Support team will process your request. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
